BONDED MEMBERSHIP
Laurelwood Swim Club is a bonded member club. To become a full member, single or family, a bond is purchased either in the first year or spread evenly over the 1st two years as members of the club. A bond currently costs $500. As a bonded member you have full voting privileges and rights as per our By-laws and have guaranteed membership from year to year, provided the yearly membership fee is paid each year.
Should you wish to terminate your membership, you must notify the Board by March 15th. You can email your notification to president@laurelwoodswimclub.com and Membership@laurelwoodswimclub.com.
If the Board is not notified of your request, you will be responsible for the annual dues or forfeiture of your bond. All termination requests will be added to our “outlist” in the order they are received. Per our by-laws, bonds are paid out on a first-come first-serve basis determined by your position on the outlist and how many new members join the pool as bonded members. We make every effort to pay out as many bonds as possible at the end of June or early July. If we do not have enough new bonded members to join the pool, we cannot pay out all the members on the outlist right away. If this is the case, these remaining outlisted members are the first bonds returned when new bonded members join next year.
TYPES OF BONDED MEMBERSHIP
FAMILY MEMBERSHIP
This membership is open to families that live at the same address for the full year with the exception of parents / guardians that share custody as per specific legal agreements. Any other exceptions would need to be approved by the Laurelwood Swim Club Board.
The 2024 cost of the membership is $600.00 with a one-time refundable bond fee of $500.00. If you want to join the pool and guarantee your membership status you may pay half of the bond fee ($250.00) now and the other half of the bond fee ($250.00) next year.
PLEASE NOTE - If you do not pay the second payment of the bond fee your initial $250.00 would be forfeited.
SINGLE MEMBERSHIP
This membership is for adults (at least 18 years old) that wish to purchase a membership for just themselves, only one person would be on the membership
The 2024 cost of the membership is $400.00 with a one-time refundable bond fee of $500.00. If you want to join the pool and guarantee your membership status you may pay half of the bond fee ($250.00) now and the other half of the bond fee ($250.00) next year.

The swim club sells a limited amount of trial memberships each year. Trial Memberships are good for 1 year only and are for families or singles to try out the club prior to committing to purchasing a Bonded Membership. Each year the club will sell a limited amount of these memberships, once they are gone anyone wishing to join the club will be required to purchase a bonded membership. A trial membership can only be purchased once per family prior to being a bonded member. After the trial membership year all trial members will be given the 1st opportunity to purchase any available bonded memberships. There is no guarantee that a bonded membership will be available in the subsequent year.
Swim Team participation is available for both memberships.
